The Volta Lake Transport Ltd. (VLTL) showcased its operations and services at the maiden edition of the 2025 Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair, an initiative by the Ministry of Transport in collaboration with the Digital Eye company. At the fair, VLTL engaged various stakeholders on its commercial operations, such as cargo transportation, chartering services, ferry services, and emerging multimodal initiatives aligned with national development priorities.

With the increasing strategic importance of inland water transport to Ghana’s supply chain efficiency, VLTL’s presence highlighted its growing role as a key logistics partner supporting trade, industry, tourism, and regional connectivity. Visitors had firsthand information about safe and efficient transport across the various company’s operational locations along the Volta Lake. The key highlight of the fair was the opportunity to deepen discussions around investment in fleet expansion, cargo barges, port infrastructure, and smart technologies to enhance vessel safety and operational efficiency. This conversation reinforced the company’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s multimodal transport system by integrating lake transport with road and rail networks.
